Top notch newer campground. Had nice paved sites with new landscaping. Lots of Class A’s, staff was pleasant and professional; restrooms were very clean and modern. Priced higher than some in the area but, perfect location if you are planning on seeing attractions. (Be sure to save a day to see Dollywood it was much nicer than we expected). Wi-Fi worked great.
A very clean campground, with friendly owners who take pride in keeping it that way. Mostly gravel pads and roads. We stayed up on the hill so it had a great view to watch the sunset and sunrise. Self contained units only: no bathrooms here. Perfect campground for adults: nothing for kids to do, and didn't see any kids here. Located very close to many Amish attractions. Great place for adults to stay when visiting the area if you are just looking for a low key clean, safe place without many extras. No cable TV, Wi-Fi with a good signal. ATT cell phone didn't work well but our Sprint phone did.
I really have mixed feelings on rating this park. Based on their website and other reviewers I expected the nicest campground “resort” I had been too. Lots of renovations have taken place however, the pool was way too small for the size of campground at least in the busy season, and some site locations/size are much better than others. Stay away from sites with walkways beside them. Based on the other campgrounds in the area this is by far the best choice. The sites in the club castaways section did have paved sites, (no paved sites in the regular area) a very small pool and a nice view of the bay. Good location: just a few miles from both Ocean City and Assateague Island (must see the beautiful Ocean Front National Park). Wi-Fi and cable TV worked fine all week.
We had a spot on what they called a river. You could walk across so it wasn't very deep (great for kids to play in looked pretty clean). Sites were small but some were shaded. The campground was gravel roads and older but was kept in decent repair. Showers/Restrooms were a little older but the ones we used were pretty clean and there was plenty of hot water. Friendly staff and all in all an OK place to stay for a couple nights. They had a newer large bar restaurant in the back area that we didn't have the chance to use. Internet didn't work the 2 nights we were there and the cable was out for part of our stay. If we went to the area again we would stay there again.
Nice newer or redone? Campground pretty, near Amish Country attractions. Clean looking indoor pool great for chilly days. Modern nice shower houses with hot water. Spots were not shaded anywhere in the park but, it was all paved and clean which is a plus. Some nights they offer horse and buggy rides through the campground fun thing for the kids. Staff seemed friendly. We suggest staying in the part of the campground away from the road as we did hear some road noise from our spot. They try to keep this campground clean and nice, staff was friendly.
